BasicAirData GPS Logger is an application designed for precise position and path tracking. With a primary focus on accuracy and power efficiency, this lightweight GPS tracker operates offline without integrated maps. Notably, the app excels in determining orthometric height above sea level when EGM96 altitude correction is activated in the settings.
Key features include a modern user interface with a dark theme, tabbed layout, offline recording capabilities, foreground, and background recording functionalities. Users can add annotations while recording, visualize GPS data, and manually adjust altitudes. Automatic altitude correction based on the NGA EGM96 Earth Geoid Model is available for enhanced accuracy.
Users can benefit from real-time track statistics, in-app tracklist management, track visualization in various formats (KML, GPX, TXT), exportation and sharing options, and support for Metric, Imperial, or Nautical units.
